With the arrival of The Reconstruction of the Being to Izmir, the 10 works that make up the exhibition will begin a tour arround other Turkish cities seeking to build unbreakable bonds between our countries, through art.
The Reconstruction of the Being is made up by 10 monumental bronze sculptures that invite to a reflection on the individual's construction processes, besides exploring the concept of the body as a vehicle through which we connect with the world, observe the environment and generate memories.
In this exhibition, Jorge Marín holds an introspective exercise, about the mind as the sum of fragments that make us human. It explores the constant construction and deconstruction of the being by interacting with the work and the body as a mean of contact with the environment.
The Reconstruction of the Being arrives to Izmir as the result of the collaborative effort of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID), the Mexican Embassy in Turkey, Folkart Gallery and CerModern Gallery.
