Kids had hours of fun with their parents at Folkart Towers on April 23, Children’s Day.

Folkart Towers hosted a series of events as part of the National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations. Kids and their parents had a wonderful time on April 23 at Folkart Çarşı.

April 23, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, a gift to children from the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was celebrated at Folkart Towers in various events. Children had lots of fun at Folkart Towers on April 23, Children’s Day, and played great street games that are mostly forgotten today including hopscotch, jumping rope, and tug of war. These games aim to improve numerical and social intelligence as well as hand and body coordination. Parents also had the chance to amuse themselves with their kids. Children showed particular interest in street games such as hide-and-seek, tug of war, and jumping rope.

Several other activities were arranged as part of the events at the Folkart Bazaar. Parents had fun moments with their little ones throughout the activities. Children and the experts enjoyed Children’s Day to the full with these action-oriented games that enhance their development and offer them lots of fun. Some of them played sensory games on an illuminated table, while others enjoyed the animal-themed sensory game pool. The event also included activities to ensure hand and mental development such as mask-, puzzle-, and puppet-making. Ball trap, hopscotch, multiple tug of war, gunnysack races, jumping rope, rolling a hoop, and egg-carrying contests were arranged as part of the street games.

Other activities such as lego robot, techno-school, dream room, and mind games were also offered as alternatives. Special education students demonstrated tsifteteli and a step dance show. They made cookies, eti puf, and snowmen in the kitchen workshop. Another activity was related to the planes that children dream of. Participants of the test flight with model planes on the track built by the Mini Pilot received Mini Pilot Certificates. A concert was also held; IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir with 40 members between the ages of 5 and 25 performed. The concert started with the National Anthem, and brought unforgettable moments to the kids and their parents with good songs.
