The exhibition, which will go down in history as the most comprehensive İbrahim Çallı exhibition ever held, consists of 80 works by the artist. The exhibition opened at Folkart Gallery on November 23. The preparation process of the exhibition includes five years of intense labor.

Masterpiece: Atatürk Portrait
Folkart Gallery said “Hello” to the 2021-2022 season with a very ambitious exhibition. The most comprehensive İbrahim Çallı Exhibition ever held in Turkey was opened to art lovers at Folkart Gallery on November 23, 2021.
The exhibition, which contains 80 works of İbrahim Çallı, the most important artist of Turkish painting, is called "The Bohemian and Rebel Brush of Turkish Painting: İbrahim Çallı". The exhibition meets with art lovers after an intensive preparation process of five years.
The exhibition, under the project directorship of Fahri Özdemir, includes Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Yapı Kredi Bank, Türkiye İş Bankası, Ziraat Bankası in particular; It was compiled from the works of many institutions and private collectors.
The exhibition also includes the portrait of “MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK”, which is in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Atatürk Museum and is considered one of Çallı's masterpieces.
Dolphin Nadi Portrait
Yunus Nadi Portrait from the Cumhuriyet Newspaper collection is also included in the exhibition. The exhibition also features landscapes and still lifes by İbrahim Çallı. The Mevlevi series, which is described as Çallı's best works, is the most striking aspect of the exhibition.
Exhibition Open Until April 17
Opening a new window from İzmir to Turkey with his serious contributions to culture and art, Folkart Chairman of the Board Mesut Sancak will be one of the most important pride symbols of Folkart Gallery in the exhibition titled “Bohemian and Rebel Brush of Turkish Painting: İbrahim Çallı”. We will continue to support culture and art," he said.
Mesut Sancak emphasized that every support given to art sheds light on the future of society and contributes to raising art-loving generations; He thanked those who put great effort into the exhibition, especially the project director, and those who entrusted the works in their hands.
Along with the exhibition, a comprehensive album of 400 pages in Turkish and English was also prepared. In the album, Doğan Hızlan, Prof. Dr. Zafer Toprak, İlona Baytar, Abidin Celal Bizzet and Evrim Altuğ also have reviews about İbrahim Çallı.
The album, which bears the same name as the exhibition, is also the most comprehensive İbrahim Çallı album ever produced. The exhibition will be open until April 17, 2022.
Due to the pandemic conditions this year, Folkart management chose not to hold the opening ceremony before each exhibition, taking into account public health. In addition, attention will be paid to Covid-19 precautions while visiting the exhibition.
